Have you tried this before you sprouted it on the list? Cause from my
reading of the bat-book (ie sendmail book) sendmail would find
/var/mail/vik a very wierd address. Actually an illegal address. And
thus would bounce it.
You see, /usr/mail/vik is only really known by mail.local, or deliver,
depending on how you setup local mail delivery. Sendmail is not an
mail delivery agent (MDA). It is a mail transport agent
(MTA).
