Hate to be painful. But .forward does not work on acs machines as
sendmail is setup not to look for it. This is due to the distributed
nature in which sendmail is set up to work on the machines in question
(ie the running sendmail process doesn't need to have access to all
the home accounts as it takes incoming mail).
forward the command puts an entry in a nis table that sendmail
scans. What you really need to use to do what you want is procmail,
but setting up procmail to work on the acs machines is kinda
impossible i fink.
