Ahh...you're assuming that just because EE has its own modems, that it has
its own user-accessible server. Not true. Vista instantly connects to
acacia upon answering a modem call.
However, since I now use a commercial ISP (someone you pay specifically for
Internet access ;-)), I no longer have to use SLiRP, masterpiece that it is.
