Quick note:

The htaccess file has effect on the directory it resides in, and any other
directory
below it, UNLESS another htaccess file in a lower directory overrides it.

So ... as far as I know, the only way to restrict access to _individual_ pages
is to
put them in different directories with different htaccess permissions.
