If gsview doesn't like it then its probably not postscript (have u tried
renaming it to .ps?) If your sure its postscript try printing it to one of
the postscript printers at uni and if it hangs the printer or prints
hundreds of pages of garbage, then its not postscript.

It is possible that there is no page numebr information in the file.
Sometimes when I create a postscript file and open it in GhostView it says
"page 1 of 0" and makes it a little more difficult to view pages after the
first.

I have had some troubles with Ghostscript for Windows; of course these
all miraculously dissapeared when I got GS for Linux ;)
