The Patch you have is used to fix the "LAND ATTACK" problems with
TCP/IP on a Win95 and NT4 machines. You don't really need that unless
your Internet Browser always FREEZE in the middle of downloading a
page. But beware, there are 2 version of it. On for Win95 and there is
another one for NT4. They are a bit different. So, make sure which one
you need before you install it.

About your problem, you better go and check out the MS web site and
look for the COMPATITBILITY LIST for Windows 95. Then check the
hardware you got and see whether it is compatible with Win95 or not.
If not they may have a fix attached to it. So, good luck.

Okay, I've just been to an "OOB" web site which referred me to an MS
web page
on the subject. As far as I can tell, the only thing which becomes
"out of
bound" is the data in the TCP packet itself. Of course you realise
that a
safe-mode DOS prompt is not running TCP. And you remember that I said
the
divide overflow only happens when my CPU internal cache is on. So
could you
please elaborate?

BTW I found the patch, Vtcpupd.exe.
