hey all

there's no man entry for javac

so has anyone got a few minutes to write a brief description on how to use
it?

ie: when i use the javac command, it says my classpath is not set
can i simply set the CLASSPATH environment variable to a directory under
my home? will this append to the basic javac classpth (ie where the
standard packages are) or will it replace it?

also, which JDK do we have? oh, this all in the context of ftoomsh

thanks oh wise Java gurus
(ps i finally made it to '97)
