Old equipment available from ITD

Hi,

ITD are cleaning up and have some items that may be of interest to ProgSoc
members.

In the corridor outside the Computer Centre at KGI (in KGI B2-109) are many
terminals, cables, ethernet cards, screws, serial ports, etc. We hope to
get the cleaners to take the equipment away after this Friday, so if you
want any of these parts now is the time to pick them up. These are all
free.

ITD at Broadway have set aside other more useful items to be sold which
include the contents of our now decommisioned B4-444 PC lab.

If ProgSoc are interested in purchasing these PC XTs (at a nominal price),
then you should make a claim after they are advertised in the Anchor (I
don't know how soon this will be).

If ProgSoc also wants to make a claim to the room 444 for running it as a
lab again for ProgSoc members (totally outside ITD control) then email your
request to Ian Waters, Branch Manager, Academic Computing Services at
Ian.Waters@nospam.uts.edu.au.

Sincerely,

David Cox
