progsoc-status mailing list

Due to popular demand I have set up a new mailing list: progsoc-status.
This will be a means by which the progsoc administration can communicate
with the rest of progsoc. System upgrades, new acquisitions, faults and
other such information will be mailed to the list.

I have created it as a restricted list, in an effort to keep the
discussion (arguments?) in the progsoc list. This should ensure the list
remains a useful form of information for those who wish to know more
about what is happening within progsoc.

To subscribe to the list simply mail progsoc-status-request with
"subscribe" in the body.

This list is using SmartList (not majordomo) and is hosted on orgo, but
there shouldn't be much of difference. Things will however be less
than optimal till I get some MX records fixed.
