I think there's no reason technophiles wouldn't use Macs. There's a
cultural bias thing (at the moment) for wannabe-wunderkind to use PCs and
Unix boxes.

Why? Only because it's easier. The Mac has made bundles of better and
smarter decisions in building its hardware and OS, it's just that it
requires an investment of time to get into it. Wish I had the energy ...

But I do know a few (real) wunderkind who do their stuff on Macs.
