Well News Limited., have two (or three) helpdesk positions available.
What do you have to do?
Primarily you will have to answer the phone, listen to a users'
description of a problem; and determine if you are able to fix it -- or
who is able to.
What knowledge do I need?
You need to know at a minimum DOS and Windows. Knowing all about
Unix, VMS, Netware, Modems and Networking would be useful; but we will
assist you in learning about them.
So, when can I work?
Shifts available are:
Weekdays:
5:00pm to 1:00am
Weekends:
12:00pm to 6:00pm and 6:00pm to 12:00am.
You will be expected to work at least ONE shift per week. More if you want.
NOTE: if trains are not running, you are able to get a cabcharge home.
What is the pay?
Pay is award wages for Computer Operators. So, for an eighteen
year old it would be $8.50; and for a nineteen year old it would be
$10.60 . I don't know the current wages for other ages.
