Okay boys and girls, here it is. TFM has grown SO big that it now
has to split into two volumes. Volume I, which is just about ready to
go to print (only the final paste-up needs to be done now), will cover
the introductory stuff, how to set up your .cshrc, X Windows, Unix
bits, dbx, etc.; Vi; news/mail; ProgSoc resources; Lifestyle stuff.

about 85-90 pages. Jenny, I'll get it printed & given to you this
week.

Volume II, which will be available later this year, will include most
of what was in last year's edition that didn't make it into Vol. I
(The Harder Stuff). The Modem chapter is *gone*, after much
vascillating (I didn't want it, I wanted it, I didn't want it, I
wanted a *bit* of it, I looked at the SoCS sheet on Modems, I dropped
it). It might yet make a brief appearance in V2, but I doubt it.
An update on the new version of Pine would be nice in V2 :)
The Forest should make it in. I'm not hearing from all those people
who said "I'll write [random.subject] for TFM!", except James, who
said he *wouldn't* write it after all - some feedback is better than
none. What's going on??)

maybe 90-100 (+?) pages.

The front cover has changed, the back will probably stay the same. I
anticipate new artwork for the inside, but I'm not sure exactly what
yet. I'll decide tonight or tomorrow.
