Yes there actually is!!!
You can change the video mode witht the mode command. Use:
mode con cols=80 rows=xx
and insert 25, 43 or 80 into the rows section. The DOS window will
resize itself with the font remaining the same size. To change the
font size, select font from the system menu (space bar thingy in the
top left hand corner).
Incidently, this command also works from DOS.
Note: this command requires that ANSI.SYS has been installed.
To have windows default to a screen size, change the "DOS Prompt"
properties to COMMAND /K <batch file name> where <batch file name> is
a batch file containing the above command. The "/K" option is avail-
able on DOS versions 6.0 and above. It runs a batch file and then falls
back to the DOS prompt after the batch file has ended rather than
calling int 21h service 4ch (ie quitting back to windows).
