ditto. I expressed my concern some time ago that the JLP might become
a process in which criminal activity is "dismissed" (for whatever
reasons). I don't think it should be up to the JLP to bring in anyone
external though, that is a matter that the University can deal with.
I should note that I am aware (and the appropriate person can pipe up
if they want) that a security policy and coherent strategy for dealing
with breaches of such is being formulated. It would be good if JLP did
the preliminaries and forwarded anything substantial (ie. where clearly
illegal activity is involved) "upwards" for determination by those more
suitably qualified in terms of authority.
This isn't fascism, this is dealing with the problem.
