As regards the voting in this "ballot": (term used loosely :)

I feel that when one is a member of an organisation, whether it be
something as formal as the NRMA or as informal as ProgSoc, there is some
obligation to take part in the affairs of that organisation. Yes, this
includes VOTING!

You joined ProgSoc for a reason. Whether the reason was simple curiosity
(mine) or a desire to meet/socialise with other people interested in
programming, or whatever, there was still a reason.

For those few people who know anything about me, my comments will come as
no surprise. Currently I am on several committees etc (the most painful
being University Council) that I had to be voted on. And not many people
actually voted.

I know I'm preaching. I try not to, but that damn soapbox just keeps
crawling under my feet. I shall try to stay off it, but I implore all
readers of the ProgSoc mailing list to use your ability to vote. It may
not seem like much, but hopefully you'll get into the habit :)
