} Does progsoc have a policy for the roasting of job advertisers on the
} progsoc list?
}
} No. I mean, no, there isn't a policy. But we can make one up.
}
} Send mail to jlp@nospam.ftoomsh.socs.uts.edu.au with a message like :
}
} Hi, I'd like a policy on Progsoc's view of job advertisements
} on the list. Can you draft one for me?
}
} I'm sure they'd be more than happy to oblige, wouldn't you guys!
I dunno if this falls within our sphere of influence. I guess it could,
but I don't want to start overstepping our welcome; the JLP was formed
to handle complaints (and from the ashes of our decisions might rise
shining new policy), but not to handle general questions of policy.
This really ought to be decided by the people who read the list, not the
JLP.
So, votes to me, please:
[ ] Yes, I'd like to see job ads on the progsoc mailing lists
[ ] No, keep your filthy capitalist-lucre hands off my electrons
If yes, answer the following question:
[ ] I wanna see job ads on the progsoc-announce list
[ ] I wanna see job ads on the plain progsoc list
Again, *DO* *NOT* reply to the list with this message; mail it to me
directly and I'll tally and post results.
