I probably supposed to go, but for the last few I was in Japan. We asked the
Union to forward mail onto Sbg. They didn't. We also missed one because I
forgot to remind Sbg to go.

I've been to one (or is it two?). They're interesting if you want to see
UTS Union politics in action. I think I found it a bit dull, but not
especially taxing and you get a free feed (which was pretty awful).

It's definitely worth sending someone, if nothing else to seem more
approachable by the other UTS groups. The last one I went to some people
from the radio group (hello Josh!) and music group expressed an
interest (the latter had heard about some music related mailing lists).
And we're also more likely to get an equipment grant if we go.

Umm yeah. They whole UTS clubs and societies thing is heavily biased towards
sporting clubs and social groups. More annoyingly, the current bunch of
Union people seem to have absolutely no interest in us. I don't think they
quite understand why we don't have harbour cruises or BBQs.
The next one is early 1st semester next year. I can't remember if will
be before or after our AGM. Anyway, details will be posted as they come
to hand.
In other Union news, they're putting together new club leaflets, like the
ones you can currently get from the Union desk. If you thought the
ProgSoc blurb in Plexus was "about as inspiring as the back of a Kellogs
packet" and would be interested in helping out do something better,
please let me know.
Cheers,
Christopher.
