Now that ftoomsh is up and running, and because of all that publicity in the
last plexus (the one with the awful text) there are these people who
want to join ProgSoc/get accounts on ftoomsh.
We have a Union imposed end of financial year at December 31 and
technically can't join up 1995 yet (the technical problem being
we're not allowed to give 1995 members 1994 benefits). However, it
seems more than just a little silly making people join until the end
of the year.
The proposal is to make 1995 membership $6, with TFM being an extra $4.
However, if you pay before EOY 1994 you get gratis 1994 membership until EOY.
Does this seem OK? It really just a heavy reduction in the cost 1994
membership.
Overall, the current union funding arrangements suck and are heavily biased
towards social and sporting clubs. I'm going to see if we can get the
rules bent a bit for ProgSoc.
