Quite right, it was the last Appendix in the 2nd Edition of the Sun User
Guide, or Everything You Wanted To Know About SOCS But Were Afraid To Ask
(pronounced `I wet Kay's socks be water'). Ahh.. memories.
I've just photocopied seven pages of these things and am about to fax.
Any last requests for credit on the cover page? I was thinking about
opening with `There is a long and fine tradition of plagerism in the
computer publishing industry. As far back as 1991 the Programmers'
Society, a student group within the University of Technology, Sydney,
were surfing the net, finding vast tracts of information, reformatting
and publishing it in a guide to computing on campus'
etc...
