I thought the objective of having a 'student' machine was so that 'students' would be able to play the role of sys admins, helping out other 'students'. I understood this would be a learning experience for students, not just simply another machine for students to be able to use.

I agree with werdnA and would also like to put myself forward as a possible sys admin..
