I've cc'd this to progsoc.
Yes, I will rewrite the unix stuff. Also, now that we have a machine,I
think we should base all material around that, as some of the users will
not be from socs. Especially since Leroy will be re-writing the Unix
workshop and alot of the basic stuff (registering on socs system etc)
will be covered thoroughly by that. He would probably like it if he lots
of stuff to plagiarise which was not going to be duplicated in tfm. But this
sort of stuff can wait until tomorrow.
