(sputter) Perhaps I've become too used to every other OS I've ever installed,
but I found it harder to install than DOS/Netware/Solaris/Unixware/386bsd-0.0/
386bsd-0.1/NT/OS2/etc.

(OK - the fdisk program was clumsy, the install script (slackware) didn't
indicate disk space requirements, nor that installations were failing because
/ was full, nor in fact that component installations were failing at all.
Once I had arranged enough disk space and mastered the fdisk program, it
wasn't that bad!)

And yes, there is mountains of ported/original software out there. Go for it.
