I'm pretty sure everyone thinks it's a good idea, but as with everything
else it will not happen until someone with time and enthusiasm volunteers
to organise it.
I'd certainly like to see some form of source material or training sessions,
or both. Perhaps one approach is to collect questions, classify them into
broad categories (eg: graph solving problems), get someone to write a brief
introduction to the area (ideally with explainations of the important
algorithms and example source code, but probably just book references) and set
a few example questions. If people had questions or problems they could turn
up to a Q&A sesion.
